Arashi's Troublemaker PV came out!!! This morning I woke up around 10, ate breakfast and did English homework until around 12, and then went to sleep until around 3. When I woke up and decided to check my livejournal friends page, I saw a link to the music video - and just about had a heart attack. I'm far too infatuated with the video, it's definitely my favorite one of theirs now. I spent the rest of the afternoon making icons from screencaps ;)
The most depressing thing in the world happened the other day: I broke my glasses!
It was the first day of track practice and I didn't realize that it was going to be so time-consuming... apparently my carpool had been waiting for half an hour before the team arrived back at school, haha. In a rush to get back to the car, I ended up flinging around my glasses or something because the temples of the glasses frames broke!!!! The most depressing part about that: they were Calvin Kleins. My only designer piece of "clothing," broken! Oh well, it was a nice 2 years with them. So anyway, the other day I went to the optometrist to get a new prescription (apparently my vision has worsened from -2.25 to -2.5), and ordered glasses w/ these interesting rectangular purple frames. Will post pics when I receive them.
I got my permit! Since we had no school Friday ("Professional Development" days, I LOVE YOU), I decided to finally haul my arse over to the DMV and apply for it. The receptionist and the guy who first talked to me were quite nice, I must say. I was apprehensive to take the test (and even more nervous after turning it in, considering that I never actually read the California Driver's Handbook, I just studied using my driversed.com course and in turn had to guess on quite a few of the questions), but the DMV actually wasn't quite as terrorizing as I thought it'd be. I did, however, have to wait something like 40 minutes for someone to finally check the test and give me my permit (I just barely passed, out of 8 questions wrong allowed, I missed 8, haha) - to be honest, during that time I was so tempted to start singing "We Can Make It" out loud just to raise my morale - luckily for the other patrons of the DMV, I maintained my composure.
I recently started (and finished, except for the special) another Jdrama, Code Blue. For once, it's a dorama without a member of Arashi in it, but it does have another member of Johnny's Entertainment, Yamashita Tomohisa (or Yamapi, as his fans affectionately call him) in it - and boy, can I say: he is SMOKIN. That aside, it was a relatively well-acted, well-written drama. Near the end, I started to get bored with the same skeletal structure of each episode, but a few various twists to the plot was enough to keep my attention. Overall, it was a decent show, but in my case mostly helped out because of Yamapi as eye candy. 7.5/10
Screencaps for good measure (forgot to save sources, don't kill me if I took from your website, please!):
(so much Yamapi to love!!!)
(a.]there were SO MANY awkward scenes w/ the doctor interns in the elevator. b.]Yamapi's character, Aizawa, always is looking at his hands and/or twirling a pen in his fingers, I don't get it.... c.]I was so positive that Aizawa and Shiraishi were going to end up together, dammit!!!)
Anybody been following the Olympics? I definitely haven't been following them nearly as close as I should be.
