I was actually able to post every day last month - SUCCESS!
I actually survived last month - SUCCESS!
The first month of the new year, new decade is finished - SUCCESS!

I have to say: I'm quite satisfied with myself. From now on, however (or at least until I randomly decide to join NaBloPoMo again), posting will be much less frequent. I'd much rather post at least semi-good material at a staggered rate than post crap because "I promised myself I would blog!"

With that being said, I now present a random thoughts/tidbits/ramblings/rants/whatever you'd like to call them from today!

I've newfound motivation and optimism regarding my academic standing. I'm not sure why, but I'm starting to both work harder and find it easier to work harder in terms of academics.... it makes me feel like a better person, haha. This afternoon I was thinking about how although it really had been a crap day (it being a Monday, being handed back quizzes [although none of them were below what, a B+ so I guess it wasn't that bad], dismal weather, etc.) while at the same time, I felt relatively fantastic and ready to tackle homework - and so I was able to do like half of it during study hall! Nisha and I talked about it for awhile and I figured: Once you fall down in the slumps, the only place to go is up. I figure that since currently I don't have anything particularly amazing going on for me, the only thing that I can do to make myself feel better about myself is to work hard and get good results.... does that make sense? Oh god, I really just need to shut up.

I'm knitting a scarf. It's all stockinette stitch so it might end up just a huge tube, but we'll see.....

I'm starting to get bored of my music (even some of my Arashi music! *gasp*). This probably means it's overdue for an iTunes library overhaul. Gonna get rid of a lot of stuff (except for a few select songs that never fail to entertain me, muahaha) and add lots of new stuff, hopefully this weekend. Any music suggestions, anybody? Bueller?

Today I got like 5 emails from random colleges (which is weird because I've never got them before ??? I'm assuming that the College Board finally sent out email addresses/scores? out, but it's nonetheless still concerning) that I've never heard of before. I'm kind of scared and kind of interested, but at the same time... meh. I don't want to look that far ahead, quite yet.

My nails are now painted a pretty shade of lavender? lilac? purple, I quite enjoy it.

I'm IMing Haley right now, she's quite nice. We're complaining about siblings, haha. Her chat icon is a picture of balloons, I like it.

Just saved the lyrics + translations to Arashi's Life and Cry for You. Life has the sweetest lyrics, and Nino sounds so badass at the beginning of Cry for You, I love it <3

Anybody watch the Grammys last night? I didn't, but at school today lots of people were talking about it. I did, however, see the clip of Lady Gaga + Elton John performing together on YouTube.... Still not quite sure what to think about that, haha. I do know that I think that "Grammys" should definitely be called the "Gramophone Awards," or at least spelled "Grammies." ;)

Going to go now: Need to finish writing an English essay, work on another project related to English class, finish a History worksheet, and do Chem + Spanish homework. Thank goodness I got Latin + Algebra out of the way earlier today, haha.
